CAROLINE DREAM (UK / SPAIN)
B.A Theatre graduate of Exeter University, she then trained at Fooltime Circus School (Bristol, UK) and refined her education with the best teachers on the performing arts scene. She has performed in festivals and theatres throughout Europe.
CLOWN TEACHER
She began training others in the art of clown in 1998, running courses for Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas. She has since led workshops in her own school, based in Barcelona, but also for many other clown schools throughout the world (in Spain, USA, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, Germany, Portugal, Mexico and Colombia). Her online trainings are attended by clowns from all over the world.
SPEAKER
The combination of her physical and verbal expressiveness with her continuing education as a speaker at Toastmasters International (since 2014), make her a unique and special speaker on clown wisdom and the wisdom of clowning.
AUTHOR
Her first clown book has become a reference in the world of clown. It was published in Spanish and Portuguese, and then in English under the title, The Clown In You (2014). It has sold over 14.000 copies worldwide. In October 2020 she published her second clowning manual, Clown Yourself. It has been dubbed “helpful to anyone who wants to meet their own ridiculousness in a deeply relaxing way” by the world-renowned Swiss clown Gardi Hutter.
DIRECTION
In 2020 she began directing clowns in their creation processes. Her first full length work, Inesperado (The Unexpected performed by Fiorella Gambini and Daniela Ayaipoma), was awarded Best Direction and Best Comedy Show by Oficio Crítico (Lima, Peru).
